Modern use of renewable sources of energy, Solar Power, demands a method of converting it into direct current electricity that is called PV. Solar PV is now, after hydro and wind power, the third most important renewable energy source in terms of globally installed capacity. PV installations working life exceeds hundreds of years with little maintenance or intervention after their initial set-up. Consequently once the initial capital cost of any solar power plant is invested, years of benefits follow since operating costs are exceptionally low.
